Cadets across the country celebrated the 79th anniversary of formation of the Air Training Corps on Sunday 2nd February 2020.
607 (Wearmouth) Squadron was no different, we joined in celebrations and a service of thanksgiving at St. Andrews Church in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The Air Training Corps, part of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets organisation, was formed by royal warrent on the 5th February 1941 and Air Cadets mark this date with celebrations on the closest
Sunday to the anniversary, the Sunday is referred to as ATC Sunday. ATC Sunday is always a great opportunity for reflection and thanks for the organisation that a brought us all together with a
shared interest.
